Women's Tour 2018
The Women’s Tour is returning to Northamptonshire this week
Thursday 14 June 2018 for the second stage of the five-day race,
which attracts some of the best female cyclists in the world.
Last year’s event – the fourth time the Women’s Tour came to the county
was watched by 80,000 people, generating a record-breaking £1.75m for
the local economy.
This year the Northamptonshire stage will start in Rushden and finish
in Daventry, with cyclists racing through 145km across the county.
They all passed through my village, Newnham at 1400 today.
I counted 42 Police motorcycles and 8 ambulances together with dozens
 of support vehicles and spare cycles, see extras.
