roses ....

I love the delicate flowers of this shrub rose. It's a cutting I took from Skibbereen churchyard more than twenty years ago. 

It rained and rained. Apparently it was a storm. The garden is a bit battered this morning. Remarkably though, the rain has stopped and it's dry and bright again. 

Busy preparing for my drive tomorrow. I'm heading up to Connemara, picking up Maya and Freddie at Shannon on the way, and meeting Simon and Carly there. We're all having a few days off together in an AIrbnb, and I can't wait to show them Renvyle beach!
