Election time in the US

It's nearly all over now - but election time in the States sparks furious campaigning by the two major parties.
On every street corner there are signs urging motorists to vote for the various candidates. And endless mud-slinging TV adverts which are a bit of an insult to the intelligence.
In Phoenix there were candidates called Paul Newman and Jerry Lewis. I think I would vote for them just to bring some Hollywood glam to the place.
