Love affair

After the unfortunate accident that rendered LB's 18-55mm kit lens fairly unwell last night, I offered to take it into Camerabase in Morningside to see what the damage actually was. I'm certainly no buff on these sorts of things, but apparently it has bent guides, a loose baffle and a disconcerting rattle. Needless to say that a repair will cost near enough the same as a brand new lens and everyone loves a shiny brand new lens...

Sadly no time to catch the stunning sunset that is currently over Edinburgh as I'm off to a friend's flat for a mini dinner party this evening; good food and relaxing conversation is very much in order.
