Ringed Plover - Rossall Point
Because of the high winds, I didn't go on my usual Thursday walk along the seafront from Fairhaven, but a little later in the afternoon I decided to head off to the observation tower at Rossall Point. The tide was starting to go out again by then, and the wind had eased off a little. The sun was breaking through the cloud as well.
The small wading birds such as ringed plover, dunlin and turnstone were much closer to the seawall than usual. Possibly, like me, trying to get a bit of shelter.
