The answer my dear is blowing in the wind

The fair weather finally broke.

Six weeks of sunshine (last rain we could remember was 8th May, the Tuesday after the bank holiday) came to an end with fakes and rains.

The cabbages were grateful - as were most of the rest of the allotment fare. We checked it out first thing to make sure everything was still there ; all good on our patch; hundreds of leaves and small branches everywhere tho.

I captured this ‘rescue’ on the way home - I take it is just a training exercise - there were about 15 windsurfers / kite surfers busy in front of them paying no heed. I would like to think that if one of them had come to danger they would at least stop and watch until the danger was over.

The BBC Scotland news featured it at lunchtime for the weather :)
