The Road to Sabina

Coming over the pass from Rieti back to Sabina as the road approaches Cottanello. It was rapidly approaching lunchtime but the light was still at a suficient angles to create shadows in the gorge. It is a superb road but unfortunately has few stopping places. In summer the magnificent vistas visible in winter, are hidden by the leaves on the trees that cloak the mountain sides.
