Bees.... again...
I was working out this morning and near the monastery I love for its quiet and peace. The road to get there is lined with linden trees and their scent can be perceived quite a way before you actually reach them. They are in full bloom at the minute. The sensorial experience doesn’t stop at your smell. Needless to say, it is accompanied by a persistent buzz of millions of bees who are foraging. On approaching the monastery, I noticed an area which had been cleared of vegetation to accommodate a row of beehives. Obviously, somebody is hoping to make some linden honey this year! There are 17 beehives of different colours! Some of them looked busier than others, like the one in the photo.
The big daisies I photographed some weeks ago have all gone. So it was time to collect some seeds as well, which I will sprinkle in the garden and hope for the best!
Have a lovely weekend everybody and thank you so much for all the stars and hearts for my buddleia and hornet yesterday. I didn’t expect they would attract so much attention!
