Mural in Reykjavík

The conference started again at an informative level. After a provocative plenary lecture on the biology of psychosis, the first session I attended was about failed studies. Equally provocative. The fifth of the five presenters was able to use the results of her study, coupled with a recent meta analysis of other studies to say that there is now sufficient evidence that what seems like a good idea for treatment, actually is no better than usual treatment, and is far more costly. As she said, it’s time to think of another way of achieving the goals.

This afternoon’s two plenary sessions were labored and gave little information, and when the next session was headed in the same direction, I headed back to the hotel.

During the lunch break, I walked a short distance to get this photo of a mural. No idea what it is representing. I just liked the feeling of movement it conveys.
