Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

I had my fortnightly chat with you O’H dear which always makes me smile for the rest of the day.

You spoke about the lack of ‘pub culture’ and that most people socialise at home. How does this work? Does this mean that technically everyone’s living room is like a pub? I hope to hear that my advice of knocking on strangers’ doors, clutching a bottle of wine and asking if you can come in had been taken. You can explain that you are trying to embrace NZ culture. You will probably get away with it in account of being a quirky English dude. You will have LOADS of friends in no time.

Sometimes technology drives me crazy (whoever invited Minecraft should be shot) but I am very grateful that it allows me to keep in touch so easily. Getting a snapshot of your day and a fortnightly call makes missing you less sad.
