Common Milkweed

Joining in with the Wildflower Week challenge! This common milkweed grows in an increasingly large patch in what used to be an area I mowed as "lawn." Now I sort of mow around the milkweed. Sometimes the monarch butterflies seem to find it, sometimes not. But it's the best I can do in my effort to assist them. I'm not the sort to actually attempt to raise butterflies - far to lazy for efforts of that nature.

Anyhoo - they are wild! Wild flowers! Wildflowers.

Also? My phone is back. My new best friend and angel - Richard - mailed it, paid for it himself ($5.59 counting the envelope and the bubble wrap and the postage) and sent it along. I have his address, so I have dispatched repayment - plus a reward in the form of a Visa gift card - to him. Very relieved to have my trusty iPhone back in my hands! Also very amused by following its journey from where it was abandoned back into the arms of its mother. It was still broadcasting all the way home! Bless its heart.
