Busy Bee

...in  St Laurence's churchyard. Earlier, there was a big funeral held here, for a former vicar called Penny. The church bell tolled again and again. Many family members had come over from Ireland for the occasion, and spilled over into the market, dressed in mourning, before and after the service. Penny was obviously a hugely popular character. She couldn't have had a nicer day for a send-off.

In other news, I've found a venue for some more WEA classes. I hope a few more events will soon be slotted into our calendar.
