Growth and change

I was photographing EW's hydrangea again, to see how it had progressed since my last blip of it on June 6.  The bush is covered in big pale green clusters of buds ready to open, and there was this one flower already opening.  Still pale in color, and hard to photograph because of its placement in the bush, but a lovely foretelling of the loveliness to come.

What is to come more immediately is very hot weather.  We are looking toward moving through the mid 80's to the upper 80's by midweek (normal is 70), and the forecast is for 80's into the following week.  I'm not ready for this!
