Boy and tractors

I worked on my train journey book - we have got as far as Moscow. I thought it would be smaller than the Japan one, given the amount of time we were on the train, but in fact we visited so many interesting places that I have so many photos to chose from.

I made dinner to have with #2 daughter and family. It was made in one roasting pan - chicken thighs and potatoes in a sauce of blended garlic, chilli, tomato purée and olive oil. Later lardons and cherry tomatoes were added. We had broccoli as well as roasted onions and sweet potato. Aftervthey’d eaten itvwe had strawberries (Scottish ones, the best) and ice cream.

Then we went out to watch the tractors ploughing in the field opposite the house. This is James watching and wondering why the tractors were frightening the birds. We 3xplained why the birds followed the plough but he wasn’t having it.
