Shopping day (for some)

A miserable day, but JR and our visitor set off into town. Valda wanted to see the statue of Wojtek the Bear. She knew the story - her husband's Polish. They managed to do some shopping too, before making their way to Bruntsfield where we met them for lunch in Montpelier's. After lunch they managed to do some more shopping.

We had a very nice sharing platter and wine, looking out at the pouring rain. But I made a dash for it during an extended sunny spell, so Archie and I got home dry.

There are so many branches scattered around in the Links, and indeed the Meadows - I hadn’t realised just how much damage Storm Hector did.

I'm enjoying my EarPods with random songs popping up - some I haven’t heard for ages. In fact, some I've never heard. I’m watching World Cup football with the sound off and EarPods in.

Valda, our visitor, has come up with a very tempting proposal - looking after her cat while she's away... London? Hmmm...
