Barrow's goldeneye

Back in Vancouver for our flight back home. Just time in the early morning for a quick visit to Stanley Park, in glorious weather. Just offshore in English Bay
these splendid Barrow's goldeneyes seemed to be enjoying the change in the weather - they were displaying and courting, pairing up already for next year's breeding season. The males (black and white) vastly outnumbered the females (brown) in this flock.
