Ex-Snake Food

Searching the internet for a mouse breeder anywhere nearby proved to be difficult to say the least. Even small local pet stores don't seem to keep mice any more. So I was stuck with potentially going to a big box store. I searched craigslist and there was a seller breeding mice for snake food. For $4.50 I am now the proud owner of these 3 pretty girls <3 And they are no longer in danger of being food! (well, unless Loki has anything to say about it ...). My plan was to get just two, but Mr. Badger loves the color orange and he wasn't convinced one more little mouse would be that much more trouble! Now to choose names and make sure Uther is a happy camper!

We started our data center move at 11 pm, I was up until 3 am ... mostly waiting. So having the mice to watch and make sure everyone was getting along was actually good timing. Uther was curious/cautious at first. When he did start getting close to any of the girls, they would squeak loudly at him ... despite his (goofy) attempts at trying to make friends by grooming them. With his enormous eyes and the speed at which he gets around, I think they were a little confused as to whether or not he is even a mouse ...
