Penshaw Monument

I left Isobel and Stanley at home so that there was plenty of room in the car and headed up to Durham. I popped in to see Laura to drop Marcus off as she is looking after him while we are in holiday the week after next.

Got to Durham about 2pm, packed the car, caught up with the news and gossip with Freya over a rather lovely burger and then dropped Freya back at her house as she had a College Party to attend. I checked the NT web site and found this rather dramatic Penmore Monument about 10 mins from the hotel, a great blip opportunity!
