Great Yarmouth Airshow
G, M and I had a grand day out at the first Great Yarmouth Airshow. We were a bit nervous about arrangements as it was the first one to be held, but it all ran like clockwork. It kept dry but with lots of low cloud. There were great appearances all round, but the highlights will always be the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and the Red Arrows - see extras. The skill of the pilots throughout the day was amazing and the bravery of the wing walkers was astonishing - see extra postcard. And all provided for free entry.
After a very quick cuppa and sandwich, I then headed out to the Auden Theatre to see a talk by the naturalist Simon King. It was really good and I just loving hearing from someone who is really passionate about what they do.
