30 Days Wild - 14 - Calm Birches

Calm after the storm! 

We had planned to take our student out to do some long exposures however with winds of 54mph we thought it better not to be driving down a tree-lined route or being standing under trees taking the shots. Storm Hector made us change plans.

We went out into the yard and did some shots of a silver birch being blown about and then kept ourselves amused indoors with a glass sphere, gel spheres and water droplets to achieve refraction. Then more macro work.

We made the best of the day we could. On my way home it seemed unbelievable how wild the morning had been but the branch on the ground below the silver birches was proof!
