Our usual bunch of thistles is growing very tall so I thought I'd take this whilst I can still look down on the new flowers. They usually get to about 8 feet. I like the gentle purple tinge and all those wonderful spines. Not a plant to be argued with.

Weeded the mint bed today. I only planted it last year. I think by next year it will have spread so much that it won't need weeding at all. I like mint and have 3 different types - spearmint, apple, and pineapple.
