Malaucene, the small town at the foot of Mt Ventoux.

Our granddaughter ‘s first day.
After a long day traveling. yesterday, we let her have a sleep in before driving over to Malaucene for Sunday lunch.

Booked into Chez Max. Did a little food shopping, and then had a walk up the steep narrow streets of the old Medieval town,up to the site of the old fortified castle.
Abandoned and dismantled it is now Le Calvaire,with wonderful views over the roof tops,and of Mt Ventoux in the distance.

Usual delicious lunch.
Glad Jennie is enjoying the food too..

Back for a relaxing afternoon by the pool.
Then tea and cakes.
Lovely tiny patisserie we bought yesterday in Marseillan.

The weather is perfect. 27 C. A bit of a breeze.
I am the only one who went in for a swim!

Jennie seems to be enjoying here first visit to France. Her French is certainly much better than mine!
I must say we are enjoying her company.
