Buttermere lake

Glorious day finding lots of new sights in the Lakes. There has been a triathlon on in the town today, 2.5mile swim in the lake, 112 bike ride and a marathon to finish, despite a big event it hasn’t been too crowded in the town.

Just back from an evening drive and there were still some folk finishing the marathon, what a long day it has been for them but I have the greatest admiration for them completing the event!

This picture was taken at Buttermere Lake, was beautifully quiet and atmospheric as the cloud and mist dropped down the side of the hill.
