Lower Slaughter
A longish Walk today in less than clement weather. Dull with drizzle most of the day as we completed a 9 mile circular walk from Naunton via the Windrush Way, MacMillan Way and Warden Way passing through Lower and Upper Slaughter, the lower version providing the subject for today’s blip.
I’ve been to The Slaughters before, a place described as impossibly beautiful, but was mildly unimpressed by both places. Pleasant enough yes, impossibly beautiful, I couldn’t agree.
Nice countryside though which made the walking interesting. Rolling valleys, woodlands and meadows with some fine looking buildings nestled in the landscape.
