Isle oransay

We popped over to the tidal island across the strand from colonsay, or should I say I waded over barefoot as we were early for the tide, while J prance around in his shoes looking for a dry root. In the meantime I sat on a rock on the other side waiting. A quad bike picked up a few other people en route. J eventually turned up with wet feet. We visited the priory had sandwiches in the rain. Then walked down to the anchorage ( no boats in) and all the other island visitors having disappeared. At the beach there is this amazing wee artist's cottage on the beach. I have admired this wee house many times and imagined staying in it.Then back to the colonsay hotel for a lovely evening meal. A bit wet and windy now but still beautiful.
