Fungal Fans

I stopped off at a shop lunchtime on my way back from my Tuesday morning school to County Hall, so no blip-hunting.

Fortunately on Sunday, when I blipped the shot of a small cascade in my stream, I'd found a piece of broken branch with these gorgeous little fungal fans covering it. Each 'fan' is no more than about 1/2" across. I thought the fungi far too pretty to miss out on, so I'd brought the branch back from the paddock and put it in my garden to blip at an appropriate time - and today's that time!

To illustrate the size of the fans, I also took a shot of a section of the branch. Cute aren't they?
