Great Malvern
I enjoyed wandering around Great Malvern today at the foot of the Malvern hills. This view is from the rose gardens looking over the Abbey Hotel and the Priory behind. The roads around the town can be pretty steep but the views make it worth it! I had a good look through the Priory - it has its own app for a self-guided tour! I also visited the Blue Bird Cafe for afternoon tea - famous because it was the favourite place for tea for Edward Elgar the great English composer. There is a statue of him in a small park with him overlooking his favourite tea room. See Extra photo.
Great Malvern is known for for its many natural springs and during Victorian times wealthy people flocked here for the ‘water cure’. It still has a real Victorian feel to it.
