At home: illuminated lilies x

My sister, Vicky gave me these lilies. They have been opening so slowly over the last two weeks. I walk past them this evening. Their smell caught my attention first.

I positioned them out of the way. The children keep knocking into them. The bright orange pollen is left painted over their white school tops. Its the hardest thing to wash out too. Its clearly designed to stick like glue to a passing bee, and never leave its back.

Anyway, they looked so illuminated in the new position in the room. I think all lilies need to come with illuminated pots! x
