A dinner time muse on loosening up
Avoiding the snow today, been down into Matlock Bath at dinner time just to have a walk by the river. The gulls were out in force as usual. A bit of a heavy crop but I'll live with it.
One of the interesting aspects about blip for me is the fact that one photograph has to be the story, albeit with some supporting text. Having been through an education in photography where a series of images is often the narrative it has been quite hard at times to break away from this. I have for many years in personal projects worked in Large Format, the final work often having up to 20 images, these become the narrative though a series.
I started using a digital camera properly just prior to joining blip and found that it has allowed me to become a little more free in photography though I still find myself framing and composing in the more L.F way. One of my aims is to break away from that a bit more and be a bit more loose which viewing many peoples images on here combined with the constant thinking about visual images is helping with.
Its a journey that is always enjoyable, all good fun :-)
