Now I foster for Many Tears rescue South Wales I have come to realise why they don’t let the ex breeding dogs go to homes with no other resident kind gentle dog ..
They wouldn’t cope . It would be cruel ... we humans are not enough .. all they have known is a cage or shed full of other dogs like themselves and they cling to each other ... the puppies that come in are different .. they are a clean slate albeit usually very poorly or manky looking at best .. but the ex breeders know such horror that you can’t just give them to the next kind well meaning person .
Winnie and Alfie both have serious quirks .. Alfie is particularly damaged .. most people would have sent him back .. This pair have been and continue to be challenging but I’d not swap them for ANYTHING !! Xx
