Knights In White Citroen
Nights In White Satin Moody Blues (excuse the play on Knights!)
Whilst we left the wives around the pool sunbathing, I wanted to show my friend Kelvin the Viannos Omalos Plateau I went to last year and blipped
Driving the ninety minutes over the mountains we had torrential rain and thunderstorms. The blip photo shows the rain pouring down steps in Viannos village. (Processed in Agfa Precisa 100) We continued up the winding dirt track road to the plateau but no sooner had we got there thick pea soup fog descended on us so we decided on a hasty retreat. It was like this until we got back to Viannos. Nothing to see in photo's! A woman in a car got out in a state, lost and wanting help to get down off the mountain. We got them to follow our white Citroen the few miles down windy dirt tracks to the main road where they were very grateful....knights in a white Citroen!!!
The extra is of a derelict door I liked in Viannos.
Viannos is famous for it's where the Germans slaugtered over 500 men, boys and male babies during the war as the resistance there had captured a German General. (The blip link above is an interesting read on it)
