Ullapool
Saturday 9th June
Today we travelled up to Ullapool from Campbeltown.
Very warm day and despite the amber warnings for heavy rain showers we only saw a few raindrops on the windscreen.
First stop was Lochgilphead to let Fergus stretch his legs and to help settle him for the trip north.
Passing through Oban we stopped at Benderloch for a quick lunch stop.
Fergus was able to join us as the tearoom has outside tables.
Next stop was Fort William where we filled up with petrol and had a little wander to let Fergus again stretch his legs.
Final stop was Beauly at the Corner on the Square where we had afternoon tea and cake.
We arrived in Ullapool just after 5pm.
Settled in nicely in our holiday cottage and Fergus appears neither up nor down after the long trip north.
Weather here in Ullapool was warm and sunny and the midgies are definitely out and biting.
