I walked a couple of circuits around Needham Lake earlier, it was quite disappointing the lack of water birds and wildlife there.    I did spot this busy little bee collecting pollen and there were just a few pyramid orchids out (see extra), though no where near as many as I've seen in previous years.  
I did notice a pair of swans and four cygnets but they were behind some wire netting and not possible to photograph.   I will return another day, perhaps I'll be luckier.
