Conservation Area Collage

The water levels in the fire water lake of our conservation area are looking really low - you might be able to see how much below normal levels they are (I guess about 50cm).  Just after I took these the Met Office Blog shows why.  

The goslings have now grown most of their adult feathers and look almost like adults.  I also spotted one area with dozens of pond skaters.  It was quite amusing watching them chasing each other, and I tried to capture (not literally) a few of them.
