Lovely place to visit - colourful parterre ( get me! ), deer grazing peacefully in the park and a nice cuppa in the orangery ;) 
Macbeth review - definitely a game of two halves ( a bit like England v Tunisia ). The first half was a bit underwhelming, but I did like the use of three children as the witches - one was seriously scary - and the porter was brilliant throughout.
They all brought their A-game on after the interval though, and the pace and power quickened up. Lady M went deliciously bonkers while M himself crumbled under the weight of his guilt. Well worth a visit, but not the best I've ever seen...
Topped off by the fire alarm going at 3am, as we all dragged ourselves from a deep sleep and blearily assembled on the front lawn... Happily, it was a false alarm, but it did prove quite difficult to get back to sleep again ;)
