It's all a load of .....

I (we) have turned the TV off several times today as the news is either too trivial for words or bonkers to the point of surrealism - if it wasn't for the inhumanity involved it would be funny. 

I'll leave you to decide which is which :-)

So - after spending the afternoon weeding under supervision* today's blip is a minimal maintenance flower, an apt image for the day!

I'll cheer up tomorrow in time to look through the Wide Wednesday entries which this week have the optional theme of light.

*I hold the hoe and cut out the plants Gill identifies as a weed while simultaneously trying to prevent her getting too involved herself.
We're still talking to each other and it appears to have been a success :-)
