Razorbills
Having endured a rather rough night on the boat from Shetland (actually the only really unpleasant bit was crossing the Fair Isle channel, which only lasted a couple of hours - it just seemed longer) I was keen to get an extra fix of sea cliffs and sea birds before I headed inland for the rest of the day.
Decided to revisit RSPB Fowlsheugh for the first time in several years - fab couple of hours watching the huge numbers of guillemots, kittiwakes and razorbills (in the picture) which nest on sea cliffs ledges. In some cases very close to the top of the cliffs. I've enjoyed watching the razorbills over the last couple of weeks on Shetland, so it was good to get another look.
The rest of the days was spent negotiating 500 miles of the UK motorway network.
