I had a fascinating trip today to the local recycling plant. We had a talk about what they did followed by a tour of the facility. Although there were a lot of machines to sort the different types of waste I was surprized at how many people were doing it manually. Not a job I would want to do!
I had to dress up in hi viz jacket, steel toe cap boots, safety helmet, goggles and gloves. I looked very silly indeed but sadly  happily no photographs exist.
