I hope the saying on her tee shirt turns out to be true. I'm heartbroken by what is going on at the borders of this country: I can't imagine anything worse for a child then being forcefully separated from his/her parents...

I have to believe that at some point (at the nearest election preferably), we'll be able to wake up from this nightmare -- although I just found out that the US pulled out of the UN's Human Rights Committee... The lies spewed out by the GOP and their blind endorsement by their 'supporters' is dispiriting.

In the meantime, I'm looking into whether any of these children might need a host family to provide whatever little relief we might be able to provide...
