An Unkindness of Ravens

More grass seeds

Today the children had an Australian history "First Fleet" dress-up day at school. Daughter N went as a lady/free settler with money and son S went as a convict. Quite fitting as his great (6 times I think?) grandfather was a convict transported in 1836 to New South Wales for stealing a sheep in Oxfordshire. He never returned to England after his term was up and became a bit of a bush ranger (my Dad has done a lot of family research over the years and written his story down). We are descended from his first son, left behind in England.

Anyway, as soon as I got the camera out to photograph them in costume, they said "you're not blipping us!". So better not then. The school principal looked good as Captain James Cook!
