The old wharf in blue light
I've discovered that taking the long way home need not be a chore. Tonight, after having dinner with a friend at their place in Cashmere, I decided to take the drive over Dyers Pass and head through Gebbie.
On the way in the rapidly diminishing light I set up my tripod at Jetty Rd, Governors Bay. Illuminated only by my side lights, I decided to try to capture the 'blue light' as it slowly dimmed over Lyttelton Harbour and Mt Bradley.
Arriving home its great to be greeted by more star strewn skies. I'm thinking I may have to take advantage of the darkness again tomorrow night.
