These should be cows!

These fields are normally occupied by cows and sheep, but are now covered by water from all the rain yesterday afternoon and have been taken over by water birds, there are hundreds of them.
I was not able to blip yesterday because my dad has fallen over and broken his hip, he has not been taken to his local hospital because it was full up and has, coincidentaly, been sent to my local hospital some distance from where he lives. He has several other quite serious health problems which include the stroke he had a couple of years ago, which left him with some speech and memory problems. He needs to have an operation to mend his hip but is refusing to sign the consent form because he can't read it and he wants my brother to read it first but he is away on business. I spent a long time with him yesterday, on my owm as mum couldn't get to the hospital, trying to explain the form and pacify him - but I am not my brother and will not do. I can get no further with him so I will have to leave it to my brother who is now home. It is all very frustrating because he needs the op but it is very high risk, I can understand why he is reluctant to sign but unless he wants to just lie still and never move he has to take the risk. I am sorry to go on so much, there really is loads more that I could say, but I won't just now.
I just had to get out in the air this morning so I went back to the flooded area that I blipped the other day, with more rain forcast and winter coming I wonder if it will ever be fields again. I will back blip yesterday at some point for continuity as I have a nice birdie blip that I took before all this kicked off :-)
