on Renvyle beach

The weather's not great, but it's mostly dry, and it hardly matters. It's wild and windswept and magnificent ... 
We spent the morning on Renvyle beach then drove to Clifden for a look round and some lunch. Then went for a walk and a play in the play park at the Connemara National Park at Letterfrack. 
We came across a very moving and sobering monument to the little boys who had died in the industrial school in the area. 

Back at the cottage Freddie played his version of badminton with his aunty and uncle, great fun ...
