As we approach November 11th and remember all those who gave their lives during the second world war, I thought this blip appropriate.
This hurricane (replica) stands at the entrance to North Weald airfield, where squadrons from 11 countries were based during the conflict.
267 people died at the station and over 500 enemy planes were shot down
