Bonfire ceremony

Encouraged by the recent ability to have a bonfire without setting the neighbourhood alight I agreed that Sam and his 3 closest friends could come and 'burn their revision notes' in the garden last night.  

The desire did take me by surprise, but apparently it was a ceremonial occasion.  Let's hope they don't need to re-take!

This was the aftermath this morning and as you can see the ivy has suffered.  Sam has done a good job today of tidying up the area and also a bit of weeding (for money!)
