Lavender fields.

A constant “ buzzzzz” as we walked through the fields of lavender as thousands of bees were busy collecting the nectar for the lavender honey.
The hives are hidden away in the shade. ( see extra)
Jennie kept well clear!
Enjoyed the wonder sight and smells though.
I picked a small bunch for her to bring home.

After a walk round Grignan, where many more photos were taken, our lunch was a picnic sat by another field of lavender, overlooking the village and Renaissance Castle.
Pizzas, croque monsieur, and a selection of patisserie. All delicious.

Peaches, apricots.and tomatoes purchased from a small stall on the way back.

Now resting before the Fete de Music tonight.
Hope it cools down as it is very hot and sunny, 32C.
Shouldn’t really complain though!
