Home again

Pre-empting flower Friday, a photo of a lovely mini rose shrub bought by a friend to celebrate the birth of the Gusling. I've just returned home from a visit to Edinburgh to see the little chick; the Ards Man got home yesterday. Today he has been sanding a large pine tabletop for No1 peanut (elder daughter) who has just got the keys to her first home!

The table used to be a very orangey pine, which the peanut definitely didn't like. The top has now been toned down a lot and the legs are being painted 'calico' even as I blip!

So there is a lot of fun in store for the AM and me, between grandparent visits and new home DIY. Thank goodness we're retired! It's so great to be able to give so much time to the girls when they need it.

We're off to a wedding tomorrow, with a BBQ to follow on Saturday. Lots of lovely socialising over the weekend! :)
