Incongruity

I took the train to Swindon today to bring home my new (to me) car, a replacement for the one that I stalled in water 3 weeks ago.  I arrived early so I walked to the dealer from the station, taking in lunch at the Darkroom Espresso (excellent sandwiches with sourdough bread) on the way.

I came across this former pub, not  converted to an Indian restaurant but to an Italian.  I thought this a refreshing change, but then noticed the "Engerland" flag showing through the front door.  That struck me as incongruous!

The extra photo is my lovely new(ish) car.  It will have to last me a while, but should do a good job of towing.
