Stars!

Most mornings I walk along the Albir seafront.... the promenade is called the
Paseo de las Estrellas.... the Walk of the Stars.
It is based on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

In Albir, our “stars” are Spanish personalities related to cinema, theatre and performing art.....
Each summer we have a Cine Festival....
It is being held now..... and so this morning ... I was able to photograph two of the new
“ stars” which were being cemented into the pavement.....
My Blip shows the Star of Julieta Serrano, a Spanish actress, born in Barcelona...
it is a permanent public monument to celebrate her achievements in the entertainment industry.

It’s a lovely way to celebrate our Cine Festival, which has now been running for 30 years!
