The path forward

The veil of confusion gently falls away,
Like the dank mist on a dull autumn day.
Revealing the path that lies there before me,
To step forward or not, what will it be?

I love this stunning avenue of trees. It is the driveway to one of our neighbours' houses, and it is almost impossible not to glance down it every time I drive by. No matter what the season it is beautiful. I love that some people would take the time to plant something like this, knowing that they will not see it in it's full glory in their lifetime, and then doing it anyway. If that is not paying it forward then I do not know what is.
